Increase Sales Coaching Tip - May The Force Be With You
For those who grew up during the Star Wars years, we all understood the power of the force. Yet, have you ever considered taking that force with you as you walk into business networking events to meeting new prospects?
If you goal is to increase sales, the you must meet people preferably qualified prospects also known as sales leads. Accomplishing this goal is much easier when you think of having the force with you. This positive and powerful force will literally enter the room before you cross the threshold.
Let me explain. By embracing the power of the force (think Law of Attraction if you are more contemporary), I now expect to master success and work my plan to achieve success. I notice that when I walk into a room people take notice by their immediate glances or by turning their heads around because they sensed a change of the energy or force within the room.
This experience just happened again when I walked into a business networking event. Due to some unexpected travel delays (well beyond my control as I had added an additional quarter of a hour to my travel time,) I quietly entered the event. Everyone had their backs to me as they were watching a pod cast. One person suddenly turned around. After the meeting, she confessed to me that she sensed a change in the energy in the room.
Each of use has our own energy force that we generate 24/7. Some may even call this our life force. Regardless of what you call it, the force does exist. And when that force is positive, other people who also have positive forces are attracted to you.
Another critical aspect within this concept of an energy force is that people who share similar levels of energy will be the first to notice yours. In sales, this means who had an advantage because you have already been noticed and now are building a relationship based upon your mutually attracted energy forces.
So how does one crease such a powerful energy force to increase sales?
- Have a strategic action plan with supporting W.A.Y. S.M.A.R.T. goals. By staying focused on your desired end results through your plan and goals, your energy will be projecting from you all the time.
- Align all of your actions to that plan especially the demonstration of your values (those non-negotiable behaviors). Sales Coaching Tip: People buy from people they know and trust.
- Hone your communication skills especially non-verbal.
- Be observant by noticing those people who notice you. Make a specific effort to speak to those individuals.
- Keep strong positive Beliefs (those subconscious thoughts) that drive your Attitudes demonstrated through your Actions creating those desired Results (B.A.A.R.)
- Maintain good physical and mental health. Your energy force is directly connected to your overall well being.
- Practice, practice tips one through six.
